Carlsberg Export – Packaging Design & Brand Identity Guidelines

Carlsberg Export is a premium lager with a distinctive identity and a strong brewing heritage. The challenge was to develop a new packaging design that reinforced its premium positioning while retaining the brand’s established character.

Working as a Senior Designer at Holmes & Marchant International in Marlow, The design brought together the iconic Carlsberg lettering, traditional crown emblem and distinctive green and gold colour palette.

The objective was to create a confident, recognisable identity that would work consistently across cans, bottles, multipacks and outer packaging.

I also developed the comprehensive Brand Identity Guidelines, establishing clear standards for logo usage, typography, colour specifications, packaging layouts and photographic style.

The result was a cohesive packaging and branding system that combined Carlsberg’s brewing heritage with a strong, contemporary presentation.

This project formed part of my earlier career in international branding and packaging design, before establishing Juice Factory Design Consultants.
